Well, this was a timely exercise! I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that I like the idea of an introductory video to make a connection with students and this gave me a chance to give it a try. Was it perfect? Nope. Was it fun? Maybe a little. Is it too long? Yep but not by much! (Don’t take marks off!)
This post gave me a chance to think about some things that I would like to put in a video and consider how to set it up. Things it made me think of included: where I should record, what I should wear, should I have a script, what’s important to include in the video, how do I make a genuine connection with students, how will I enable and assess their engagement with the course…and so many more!!
